Assemble the Printed Circuit

Once you have your work area set up and are ready to start building, the next step is to solder the electronic components onto the Printed Circuit Board. Turn on your soldering iron and put on your safety glasses.

• Prepare to Solder
  
  
• Resistor–R1
  
  
• Optical Sensor–U1
  
  
• Capacitors–C2, C3
  
  
• Light-Emitting Diode LED
  
  
• Connector
  
  
• Microswitches–SWL, SWM, SWR
  
  
• Capacitor–C1
  
  
• Encoder–ENC
  
  
• Clean the Board
  
  
• Remove Tab from U1
  
  
• Inspect Your Work
